Bridgen Rd, Bexley, Kent DA5 1JE
This is a pub I have not been in for at least 25 years, when it was still known as The Blue Anchor. It has not changed much layout wise but the decor is more even if the furniture is not. Unfortunately, the reason for frequenting this pub was for the wake of my father who passed away on the 16th of May 2016. It was just a small affair for family and closest friends, butwe gave him a good send off - RIP dad.
The pub turned out to be pretty good for beers as they offered three real ales on pump as well as a couple of beers on tap (Guinness and one of those cream flow bitters). The food was good and plentiful, and everyone had pretty much whatever drinks they required, so not a bad pub overall.
Beers drunk on this visit :
1) Monty Python's Holy Grail (4.0%) - Black Sheep Brewery, Masham, North Yorkshire - a light, refreshing golden ale with crisp after taste
